Java Forum Stuttgart 2026: Where Knowledge Meets Community

49 talks, seven parallel tracks and around 1,200 attendees: on 9 July, Java Forum Stuttgart 2026 transformed the Liederhalle into a meeting place for the Java community. An accompanying industry exhibition and the new Community Exchange Area complemented the conference programme and created additional opportunities for knowledge transfer, networking and new connections.

Java Forum Stuttgart focuses on current developments, technologies and practical insights relating to Java and modern software development. The 2026 programme covered topics ranging from Java and artificial intelligence to software architecture, IT security and other areas of technology. Speakers from the community shared their expertise, presented practical use cases and provided inspiration for current and future developments in the software industry.

The conference is organised by Java User Group Stuttgart e. V. Founded in 1997, the independent non-profit association aims to provide Java users and enthusiasts with a platform for exchanging knowledge and experience while also facilitating direct contact with innovative companies from the Stuttgart region.

Technology expertise and community in Stuttgart

Java Forum Stuttgart demonstrates how closely technology, professional exchange and regional networks are connected within Stuttgart as a business and science hub. Since 1998, the conference has brought together people from software development, IT and technology.

The accompanying industry exhibition is an important part of the event. Companies present their products and services and engage directly with professionals from the community. In addition to the conference sessions, this creates further opportunities for dialogue, networking and new ideas.

A new feature in 2026 was the Community Exchange Area, where attendees could introduce their own topics, initiate discussions and organise spontaneous exchange sessions. The positive response highlighted the strength and vibrancy of the Java community. Personal interaction between talks, the exhibition and the break programme is therefore just as important to the event concept as the transfer of knowledge itself. New perspectives, ideas and contacts emerge not only on stage, but also during breaks, at exhibition stands and in informal discussion sessions.

Everything under one roof

For its 49 talks, Java Forum Stuttgart used halls of different sizes at the Liederhalle as well as additional rooms in the directly connected Maritim Hotel. The variety of spaces made it possible to run seven parallel tracks, while short distances between rooms made it easy for attendees to move between sessions.

The central location and direct connection to the hotel also provided suitable conditions for combining the conference, networking and accommodation at one location. Spacious foyers with catering and opportunities for informal conversation became natural meeting points between sessions. In this way, the forum combined focused knowledge transfer with an open and personal atmosphere.

A technology conference of this scale also requires reliable technical infrastructure. From presentations and visual transmission to sound, lighting and digital applications, modern event technology and the experienced Liederhalle team supported the professional implementation of the different session formats.

Java Forum Stuttgart celebrates an anniversary

In 2027, Java User Group Stuttgart will celebrate 30 years since its foundation. Java Forum Stuttgart 2026 once again demonstrated what has shaped this established community: an up-to-date specialist programme, strong links to companies in the region and an event concept that combines knowledge transfer with personal interaction.

The forum’s regular presence at the Liederhalle also shows how large and complex event formats with a wide range of programme elements can be implemented at a single location.
