Traditional carousels, ultra-modern rides and cozy festival tents: experience the unique atmosphere of the Cannstatter Volksfest - the largest and most important festival in Baden-Württemberg, which attracts around 4.3 million visitors to Stuttgart every year.

People have been celebrating at the Cannstatter Wasen for more than 200 years. The foundation stone was laid in 1818 by King Wilhelm I of Württemberg and his wife Katharina. A combination of folk festival and agricultural festival with horse races and awards for outstanding achievements in livestock breeding, it was intended to revive the Württemberg economy, which had been badly damaged after the Napoleonic Wars.

Today, it's all about fun and entertainment. Countless exciting rides invite you to put your courage to the test: from “Breakdance” to ghost trains, from “Wilder Maus” to the “Cannstatter Höhenflug” - no wish remains unfulfilled here! Showmen and market traders welcome you to the 37-hectare fairground directly on the Neckar.
