Alte Turnhalle Herrenberg

Special location

The Alte Turnhalle, now a listed building, was Herrenberg’s first gymnasium and was opened in 1886. Between 1989 and 1991 it was converted to an event hall. The Alte Turnhalle has a unique atmosphere and is ideal for cabaret programmes, concerts and drama, lectures or works meetings, as well as for conferences, assemblies and seminars.

The Alte Turnhalle has a small stage (approx. 50 m²) and a hall with c. 250 m², as well as two artists‘ cloakrooms in the basement. Depending on individual requirements and the seating arrangements, it can hold between 72 and 454 persons.

Almost all of Herrenberg’s historical buildings have survived, giving the whole town its typical medieval flair. The old town centre in its entirety is a protected monument. Circular walks with information boards describe its history.
