New Developments: Stuttgart stays in Motion

In the Stuttgart Region new hotel and conference capacities are evolving. From now on you will see various new buildings in different categories as well as renovated and extended conference spaces.

New impetus on the grounds of the ICS International Congress Center Stuttgart/Messe Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre: From 2018 onwards the new hall 10 with its roughly 14,600 m2 provides an exhibition area of approximately two football fields. Thus the total exhibition grounds will increase to 120,000 m². In close proximity to the ICS International Congress Center Stuttgart/Messe Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre and the Stuttgart International Airport a second Mövenpick Hotel Stuttgart Airport & Messe evolves, expected to open in spring 2019. The 740 m² ball room, as well as several meeting rooms are combinable with the conference space of the already existing Mövenpick Hotel. Both together will provide the biggest meeting and event space in southern Germany with a total of 3,000 m² and 586 rooms.

In 2018 the 2,500 m² event area of the Filderhalle Congress and Conference Centre is to be extended by some 400 m² for multifunctional purposes. This space can be optionally divided into two or three breakout rooms and offers great view into the green city park thanks to its floor-to-ceiling windows. Since January 2017 a new catering concept exists which offers freshest food directly from the own kitchen.

The Liederhalle Culture and Congress Centre, Stuttgart’s Congress City in the City, will be closed from mid of July 2019 until August 2020 due to modernization of the Hegel and Schiller hall as well as the meeting rooms. The adjacent Maritim Hotel Stuttgart was due for a facelift: all of its 555 rooms, restaurant areas and conference rooms were completely refurbished.

The brand new design hotel Jaz in the City, occupying the first seven floors of the 18-storey skyscraper "Cloud No. 7", offers around 166 hotel rooms and suites in modern design, a roof terrace with bar on the sixth floor and meeting capacity for up to 400 people, planned to open early in 2018.

Design hotel, event location and an exhibition of mobile classics – the Motorworld Region Stuttgart is a concentration of automotive passions on an area of 50,000 m². By January 2018 a second hotel with an additional capacity of 153 rooms, apartments and meeting rooms will open to round off the complex. At the V8 Hotel overnight guests can choose between standard rooms and individually designed theme rooms geared to the classic car ambience of the Motorworld.
