Stuttgart takes the next step: As one of the first German cities to participate, Stuttgart now ranks in the Top 5 of the Global Destination Sustainability Index (GDS).
Already in 2012 the Germany wide WirtschaftsWoche Sustainable City Indicator (WWSCI) confirmed Stuttgart's leading position as Germany's most sustainable city – and therefore its most sustainable congress destination. In every category (economic strength, environment, human capital, social affairs, energy and transport and transparency and commitment) Stuttgart achieved higher-than-average results among Germany's 50 largest cities.
Countless congress venues, hotels and special locations in the Stuttgart Region hold certifications or have already implemented sustainability strategies. The Stuttgart Region is a model region for sustainable mobility. Stuttgart Airport consistently adheres to the guidelines of the "fairport" codex and successfully enforces CSR-compliant procedures.
The Stuttgart Convention Bureau will be pleased to advise you on planning your event and provide a comprehensive and tailor-made sustainable solution. Our team supports the event sector's fairpflichtet / rightandfair sustainability codex. Our company, the Stuttgart-Marketing GmbH, participated successfully in the state of Baden-Württemberg's sustainability check, and the city of Stuttgart has held certification as a Baden-Württemberg Sustainable Destination since October 2014.
